Our fundraising at the 100th Anniversary Celebration and afterwards was quite successful. Now we are seeking help from the community to plan the repairs.

Fountain 1911
This fountain is in northwest Berkeley, California, and has a rich history and is a focal point for the surrounding community. The fountain is located at The Circle and Marin Avenue. It is in the middle of a traffic roundabout with seven streets radiating off of it. Originally, the fountain was the City's first public work of art. The Beaux Arts plan of The Circle is a treasure from Berkeley's rich architectural past.

The Friends of the Fountain and Walk is a non-profit group of volunteers who reconstructed the fountain beginning in the early 1990's and who now assist the City in maintaining the fountain and the surrounding area. The reconstruction was one of the first joint projects between the City and the community, and they felt it was so successful that they have encouraged other groups to organize and work with them.
